1. Introduction
The Fence Lady Co. ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website or request our services.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and physical address when you fill out an estimate request or contact form.
- Project Details: Information about your property, desired fence type, and project timeline.
- How You Found Us: When you submit a form, we record the page you landed on, the site that referred you, campaign parameters from the link you clicked (such as UTM tags), and your general device type and browser. This information is held temporarily in your browser's session storage while you browse and is saved only if you submit a form.
- Technical Information: Your IP address is used briefly when you submit a form to protect against spam and abuse; it is not stored with your inquiry.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use session storage (which clears when you close your browser) to remember how you arrived at our site. If you accept the cookie banner, we use two measurement tools: Google Analytics, to understand which pages help customers most (it reports anonymized usage data, with your IP address anonymized, to Google), and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to inquiries. Both stay off unless you accept, and you can decline at any time with no change to how the site works. We never sell your data. Our website fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the fonts load.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide you with an accurate estimate and communicate regarding your project.
- Schedule site visits and installation services.
- Understand which of our pages and campaigns lead to inquiries so we can improve our website.
- Send periodic emails or SMS messages related to your project (with your consent).
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with trusted subcontractors or suppliers strictly for the purpose of completing your fencing project, with service providers who help us operate our website and communications (such as email delivery), or when required by law.
6. Data Retention
We keep inquiry and project information for as long as needed to respond to your request, complete your project, and meet our legal and warranty obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Your Rights below).
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Colorado residents may also have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising (which we do not currently engage in). Contact us directly to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
